What does it cost?
Nothing. Pathways is a free initiative of the Mighty Minds Movement for students from under-resourced backgrounds. Closing the access gap is our mandate.
Which students is it for?
Students in Grade 10 or above who are on a path to university. Beyond that, you know your students best and we trust your selection. One honest note: the sessions inspire students who can realistically pursue these careers to dream bigger. For students without that academic path, the same sessions can be discouraging. Please select with that in mind.
What does our school commit to?
Your school nominates a contact teacher, selects the participating students, and passes the session invitations on to them. Students ideally join from their own phones. This allows them to ask individual questions and allows us to see how many students are participating. A shared room with a screen is a good fallback for students without a phone or data.
When do sessions run?
Every four weeks, on Mondays from 15:30 to 16:30 (SAST), live online.
Who runs the sessions?
Each session is moderated live by one of our scholarship recipients, with vetted senior guests. Once you partner, our Pathways Workstream Operator handles all scheduling and preparation with your school.
Are sessions recorded?
Yes, but your students stay off camera. Only our team and the guest appear on video. Pathways students join as attendees with cameras disabled and ask their questions live or via the chat.
